March 1 (Bloomberg) -- President Barack Obama is in “excellent health” and should continue his efforts to quit smoking, his doctor said today after an annual checkup of the U.S. chief executive.

The latest annual lifestyle survey has found that the overall smoking rate among adults in 2008 remained at 21%, the same rate as in 2007.
